Our curriculum aims to create bespoke learning pathways for children with additional learning needs, our vision is to provide creative lessons where children are supported to access the curriculum in the best way to support them for life after somersault school, this will include engaging them in a range of qualifications including Asdan awards & aqa awards to help improve children’s self esteem and to help them become the best versions of themselves.
children will be supported to work through the different aspects of the equals curriculum (see the the equals curriculum works below), children are assessed using a range of nationally recognised assessments to ensure that they access the curriculum at the correct level and that they have appropriate challenge to ensure that they develop and progress through the levels. this includes supporting children with a specific interest, skill or ability to gain qualifications and work experience in their chosen subject.

We offer an all age special school for children with a wide range of learning needs and we have 4 classrooms and a large outside space to support with delivering a range of enrichment activities to support bespoke learning pathways for children. We work with a range of Speech and Language therapists, educational psychologist, occupational therapist, paediatrician, school nurse, physiotherapists, music and art therapists and nutritionalist’s to support children and create strong learning communities to help them move through their educational pathways.
